Our efforts start with educating the public about the tragic effects of poorly discarded fishing line in our waterways and shorelines. Many are surprised to find out that monofilament can wreak havoc on the ecosystem and environment for upto 600 years!
With the kind support of our Sponsors, we continue to deploy Indoor & Outdoor Recycling Receptacles throughout Canada. Look for a location near you or contact us to find out how to initiate the Program in your region.
See map below for locations...
To ensure the Recycling Receptacles are installed and maintained regularly, we solidify the support of regional Partners & Volunteers. Once the line is collected it is shipped to the recycling facility.
Recycled monofilament fishing line is used for many purposes including the manufacturing of Berkley Fish Habs. Once in the water, the Fish Hab attracts fish and plant growth almost immediately.
Our Partner's install and maintain Recycling Receptacles at convenient drop off locations (boat launch, retailer, fishing spot, etc.) for the general public to discard their fishing line properly. If you have or know of the perfect location please click below, we would love to help you with your plans.
Volunteers are the backbone of the organization. Roles range from finding the next Recycling Receptacle Partner to helping us construct a recycling receptacle for deployment... and everything in between. If interested we would love to chat! Please click below.
Our Sponsors provide us with the ability to expand our geographic footprint nationally while ensuring we maintain a robust, complimentary advertising awareness campaign. Options to support our Program vary in scope and budget. Click below to connect with our Rep and find out more.
Your donation will help us deploy our recycling receptacles throughout Canada, spread our message to the general public and ultimately eliminate the effects of poorly discarded fishing line on our eco-system and environment, No amount is too small and ALL donations are VERY appreciated!
